(Before using, be sure to read all the instructions, labels and information on the product contained in the user’s manual.)
- Because metal conducts electricity, never use a ladder near any electrical current
- Verify correct installation of your Ladder Latch and that it’s correctly attached to the ladder
- Do not drop the ladder or Ladder Latch
- Avoid using ladders or Ladder Latch on slippery or uneven surfaces
- Do not use Ladder Latch or any type of similar equipment if you are not in adequate physical condition
Ladder Latch is made to support a maximum weight of 300 pounds. Check that the duty rating on the ladder you’re using is also sufficient. Confirm that the Ladder Latch and the ladder ends are supported properly to prevent any excessive movement.
Using Ladder Latch
In order to position the ladder at the correct angle, place your toes against the bottom of the ladder. Standing upright, extend your arms straight out. As the palms of your hands contact with the top rung on the ladder – about shoulder height – the ladder is approximately at the proper angle. Always consult the other labels on the ladder before using.
Weather conditions like strong winds, snow or rain call for extra caution when using a ladder.
- Do not use the product with an extension ladder in conjunction with a ladder jack using stages or planks
- Always ensure that Ladder Latch remains clean of any materials that could increase the risk of slipping
- Do not store materials on your Ladder Latch
Always use your Ladder Latch in compliance with the instructions with the user’s manual. Do not misuse the product or attempt to use it for other purposes.
